I would like to express my thankfulness to the nurse, Ouyang Xiaoping. I am a cancer patient and Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital (SRRSH) is my second home as I have to get my chemotherapy constantly. When I was a patient in 6-12F East, I met with Ms. Ouyang for the first time. Blood drawing always terrifies me as my veins are too thin for nurses to try. That day nurses on 6-12F East Unit tried five times and all failed. They called 6-12F West for help. Ms. Ouyang came to me a few minutes later, talked to me nicely with smile on her face. She looked at my arms carefully and drew the blood with the first try. That was amazing! And I remembered her name ever since.
The second time I met with Ms. Ouyang was when I became a patient in 6-11F West. I was worried that nurses here may not access PORT appropriately. So I asked Nurse Manager, Ms. Yuan, to call Ms. Ouyang for help. When she came, I apologized for holding her up from lunch. Ms. Ouyang said she would always be there for me as I trusted her and do whatever she can to help me. I was so touched!
Afterwards, I required to be admitted to 6-12F West where Ms. Ouyang works. Nurses on this unit are so nice and competent. And Ms. Ouyang is so beautiful and thoughtful as always. So I thank her for the best care I get and for the equality and kindness I feel, which give me the warmth as my family.
