All doctors, nurses, and support staff were professional and caring. However, one staff member in particular will long be remembered by our family. On many occasions, he stayed late to make sure all my mother's needs were met. On the morning of discharge day for my mother, she told her nurse," I can't feel my leg." He checked her leg and found no pulse. His quick actions in contacting the vascular team brought a swift vascular study, and it was determined that there was indeed no pulse, due to a clot. My mother was taken to emergency surgery and the clot was successfully removed. The surgeons told us that because of her nurse's quick actions, my mother's leg was saved. The surgeon also shared that when this nurse calls them, they know it is a serious concern. We will never forget this special nurse and his dedication to his patients. To say thank you is such a small thing to say for something that has meant so much to my mom and our family. Thank you and may God richly bless you, Owen McWhirter.

A 95-year-old stable patient had a quick change in status and a regular complaint from a patient turned out to be a clot and needed an embolectomy. Owen did a Doppler before calling me and said, "I don't have a pulse". The patient underwent surgery and her limb was able to be saved.
