I was very impressed with Pablo over the multiple days that he was assigned to my sister-in-law. I am a retired RN and I was fortunate to be in St. Joseph's Hospital November to help care for her and support my niece and nephew.
Pablo showed genuine compassion in his bedside manner and always explained what IV he was hanging, as well as taking time with her PO meds (some with apple sauce, some with water).
One morning after a TEE, my sister-in-law had 4 MRIs and a CAT scan scheduled. Pablo went to the imaging department with her, and I was thankful for that since she had multiple IVs infusing and I knew she'd feel safe with him there!
On return to her room, Pablo said to her, "I'm so proud of you! I've seen grown men cry - you did very well. Now let's get you comfortable and something to drink!"
He is such a wonderful, caring person and a definite asset to St. Joseph's.
Pablo was also acting as a mentor. Talk about "teamwork," they were great together. He took everything in stride and didn't "miss a beat". He also has a great smile! He is a true professional and it was obvious to me that he really cares about his patients and loves his work!
