Paige Abley, BSN, RN

Paige took care of me two nights when I was sick and vomiting. She made sure I stayed clean and safe. She talked with me and helped keep my mind off the illness that had hit me so hard. All are skills most nurses can easily manage.

I understand Paige is a young nurse, but her skills are wonderful. She was able to get the pharmacy to alter my medicine for GERD from oral to IV. I'm sure other nurses can do this, but no other nurse had given me that option. After the medicine got into my system, I was able to finally fall asleep. Paige did a wonderful job of protecting my health and safety.

I may not know everything about the medical field, but I know when people go above and beyond. I used to supervise a staff of 30 health care professionals and paraprofessionals before my health forced me to retire. I had a few members of my staff who devoted as much to their jobs as Paige does. I had employees with 25 to 30 years of experience who didn't display that level of competence.

Paige displayed extraordinary compassion, and despite her young age, I think someday soon she will be an excellent mentor to other young nurses. She seems confident and competent in her abilities.
