Starting your first job as a Registered Nurse fresh out of college comes with its own set of anxiety and frustration. But Paige Coombs did not let any of that stand in her way of landing her career in the Pediatric Unit at Geisinger Community Medical Center. A patient nominated Paige for her kindness and compassion. Making her patients feel less vulnerable. The patient expressed her gratitude stating, “She made me feel calm, explained everything to me making me feel like a person and not just a patient.”
