Paige was the very first RN to take care of a dear family friend. My daughter was very good friends with her. One can only imagine the fear and questions 12 year old girls had about cancer. My daughter was visiting her friend after her port was placed. Paige brought the teaching doll in and explained exactly what a port is. It made things a little less scary to my daughter. In the 6 years that her friend battled this disease, Paige was a constant source of care and love. As my daughter's friend approached the end of her battle with cancer, Paige took care of not only my daughter's friend but the numerous friends that came to say goodbye to their friend. My oldest daughter is beginning her final year of nursing school and she told me that after watching and hearing about Paige all these years "I will always strive to be the kind of nurse that Paige is". That says it all to me.
