I would like to shine a light this year on Kristyn Paige Ingram. From working the halls of MICU, becoming a night shift team lead, and then to boss up and becoming one of the MICU ANMs. That’s how you glow up! She is truly a key resource. She takes tremendous care of her people by knowing someone’s favorite color, candy, flower, and movie, right down to their favorite hobby, and like the show, it’s nice to go where “everybody” knows your name and is always glad you came lol! She has the confidence to act and the persistence to keep working through issue after issue. You don’t go to school to learn how to help run an office unit the way she does. All requests (and there are dozens monthly) needed to be given due consideration. Part of her success is her ability to think through the best way to do things. The other part is her ability to build trust and confidence amongst the professional staff that she has been in the trenches with.

I had a family emergency happen to me and every day just about she brought food, snacks, clothes, and almost the kitchen sink. She also thought about summer clothes as well as school clothes and she cries with me, she laughs with me and she keeps me on my toes all at the same time. She let me know whatever I’m going through we’d get through it together. She goes above and beyond in everything she does for us and I’m grateful for everything she does and continues to do for the MICU team as well as myself personally. We in the MICU are a family and we are incredibly fortunate to have them all. I could write about 7 or 10 more things she has done for just me, but there are countless things she has done for the team that maybe are way more than I could write. I truly believe in giving people their flowers while they live and the growth is so inspiring to the team. I have been a leader but I don’t mind following in her footsteps. She doesn’t mind pitching in where she can, just like her boss. I stand beside her and with her. I definitely want to be like her when I grow up.

Continue to be like a diamond and shine bright. God knows what a true gem she is and the progress she has made. I’m very proud and lucky to have her professionally and personally. Hat’s off to you Kristyn Paige Ingram. I love you on purpose. Crown on!!
