Paige was my nurse on the day I delivered my baby, after three long, exhausting, and painful days of induction. By that point, I was completely drained—physically, mentally, and emotionally. I felt defeated and unsure if I had anything left to give. But Paige walked into my room with a light and warmth that I desperately needed. Her bright, uplifting personality gave me a sense of hope when I was at my lowest, and somehow, she made me believe that I could keep going.
She didn’t just care for me—she truly saw me. She recognized my fear, my exhaustion, and my doubt, and met me with compassion, encouragement, and unwavering support. Her knowledge and confidence reassured me constantly, and I felt safe enough to let go and trust the process, even when things felt overwhelming.
When the decision was made to move forward with a C-section, I was terrified. It wasn’t what I had envisioned, and in that moment, fear took over. But Paige stayed right by my side, calming my nerves with her steady presence and kind words. She made me feel like I wasn’t alone—that I was protected, cared for, and in the best possible hands.
What touched me most was how far she went to be there for me. She actually switched assignments just so she could be part of my delivery. As a nurse myself, I know how much that can disrupt a shift, and it meant everything to me that she chose to do that. It wasn’t just part of her job—it was a reflection of her heart.
Paige didn’t just help deliver my baby—she helped create one of the most meaningful moments of my life. Knowing how much my husband and I love Disney, she and the team made sure the theme song from my favorite movie, Peter Pan, was playing as my baby was born. In a moment filled with so many emotions—fear, love, relief—that small, thoughtful gesture made it truly magical. It’s a memory I will carry with me forever.
Because of Paige, what started as one of the hardest experiences of my life became one of the most beautiful and meaningful. Her compassion, selflessness, and genuine care changed everything for me. I will never forget the impact she had on my journey into motherhood.
