June 2024 Honoree
Paige Reeser, RN
Paige was driving home from work when she saw a propane tank on fire in downtown Rochester. She pulled over when it exploded and ran to help. Wounded adults and children were everywhere. She assessed the scene quickly and noticed a small child with a severe injury to their arm. She put her ER training to use and asked another bystander for her sweater, which she used as a tourniquet to stop the bleeding. When EMS arrived, they noticed her helping and gave her a trauma tourniquet to apply while they set up to transport patients. Paige is a true hero, and we are so lucky to have her on our team.
Thank you, Paige, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
