Paige had been our nurse for a couple of days. We had already been on her floor for several days. My spouse had a procedure scheduled for the next day. I was in the family room and after her shift, she saw me there. Paige came in and reassured me about what was going to happen.
The next day, Paige took my spouse for the procedure. All went well, back to room to wait for him to return from recovery. Sent our child on the long drive home. Then Paige came into the room to explain the complications that had occurred, with my spouse being taken to the ICU. After our child returned, Paige escorted us down to my spouse's new room and made sure we were settled. She even stopped after her shift to check on us again.
When we were discharged, Paige came to say good-bye and I received a big hug from her! She was so patient, explaining everything. Gave extra reassurance. Paige truly cared.
