Our experience with Paige was exceptional. We were apprehensive about coming to a unit that does not have "cardiac" in its name, but that apprehension was relieved when we met Paige. Her smile let you know that it was going to be okay. Our daughter was having a hard time getting enough fluid in.
Paige went out of her way to make her a goal sheet with the amount of fluid she needed to reach. It was sectioned off by units of 10 ounces, and each time she accomplished a goal of 10, Paige brought her stickers to put on her chart. This worked beautifully for our daughter.
She educated us on medication, giving us tips, and she eased our anxiety of almost going home by taking her time to answer our questions and "just talk to us". It helps when nurses treat the parents as well as the child. Paige did this. She is excellent, and any patient that receives her care is lucky.
