Eleven days post C section, I ended up in the SICU with Sepsis and internal bleeding. I had lost a lot of blood and was in very poor physical and emotional health. Paige was bubbly and kind to me from the second she became my nurse. She cared for me for multiple shifts, going above and beyond to make sure all my needs were met - whether that be a hand hold when I was crying from missing my baby or bringing me toiletries and wiping me down to preserve a bit of dignity during a traumatic event. I had one day where I was very emotional from the stress of the traumatic event and being apart from my newborn baby for days. Paige bought me a card, a baby book, and a sweet treat. She had all the nurses sign the card with messages of encouragement, which gave me the strength to fight through the day. I cannot express enough how amazing, thoughtful, and caring Paige was. She is someone that I will never forget.
