My father-in-law was admitted to 7HL due to end-stage heart failure with acute kidney injury. We decided to transition to comfort care during the hospitalization. Palmer was our nurse during the transition, and he was so kind and most empathetic. The care he showed to my family was very much appreciated. He advocated for increased anxiety medications when my father-in-law was getting increasingly agitated, which did calm him and allowed him and my mother-in-law to finally get some rest. He made sure we were taken care of and brought extra chairs in when the rest of the family came in. He also made sure there was another recliner in the room for my aunt when she stayed the night with my mother-in-law.
