Writing this letter is the least I can do for Paloma, who literally saved my life! Paloma came to my home to perform a normal refill on my baclofen pump. At this time, she realized there was a life-threatening problem with the pump system malfunctioning. She jumped into action and supplied me and my husband with precise documents and directions to guide the doctors to the specific issue at the emergency room. The first hospital had no idea how to help, so we stayed in close contact with Paloma as we transferred to our hospital in Virginia. We then realized that only two doctors could perform the crucial surgery within a 100 mile radius. Paloma’s specific notes on the documents alerted the Neurosurgeon and prompted him to come back from vacation early to perform surgery. The doctor performed life-saving surgery, fixing a damaged line connected to my spinal fluid. Now I am better. I would not have survived if Paloma had not used her specific expertise and diligence to help pinpoint the solution. If she had not had the level of detail and information, I would not be alive today! Thank you is not enough. We love Paloma!!
