Pam was nominated by our Bee Award winner after demonstrating an incredible act of compassion and teamwork during a deeply meaningful moment of care.
When the Bee Award winner made a promise to a patient's family to prepare their loved one with dignity, there was one small detail missing-nail polish. Without hesitation, Pam stepped in and made it happen. She personally purchased polish with her own money and ensured it was delivered so that promise could be fulfilled. Because of Pam, our PCA was able to carry out that final act of love-helping a patient look peaceful and just as her family remembered her.
This is compassion. This is teamwork. This is the heart of nursing.
