She was knowledgeable that the prep could affect my body temperature. She really listened to how I was feeling.
I went in for my 7th colonoscopy in 15 years. Pam was my pre-procedure nurse. When I arrived for the procedure my gown, blanket, and socks had all been warmed so that I would not have to experience any more of a chill than I already had from completing my prep. She was knowledgeable that the prep could affect my body temperature. She really listened to how I was feeling from my colonoscopy prep and as soon as my technician started my IV she gave me the necessary medication to ease my nausea. Pam was patient with me while I was answering all of the questions that she had to ask. Even though there were other technicians, nurses, and doctors who saw me before, during, and after my procedure – Pam made sure to continue to check back in on me. She made sure that I was comfortable before I left the facility and wheeled me to my car when I was ready to leave. In addition to the great care that Pam gave me she made sure to check on my husband and be sure that he had everything he needed to be comfortable while waiting for my procedure to be completed. Pam is the epitome of what an RN is – an angel on Earth!
