Pam worked tirelessly to get him benefits and tried everything to get him to agree to rehab.
My brother was admitted to PRH four times. He had many issues involving cirrhosis of the liver as well as heart issues. To make matters worse, he carried no health insurance. He was not an easy patient. He was angry at his helplessness and depressed about his serious medical issues. His team worked hard to convince him to have procedures to help him, yet he refused. Pam called me because I had a medical proxy to get info about my brother’s condition. She worked tirelessly to get him benefits and tried everything to get him to agree to rehab. Due to COVID, no insurance, and other issues, no facility would allow him entrance for rehab. Eventually, a solution was found among family members and he was discharged. Pam was always pleasant and very positive. She worked hard to make sure a plan was in place to ensure his transition to independent living. As a former teacher, I know the importance of recognizing excellence. Pam is to be commended for her service as a valuable team member.
