When I was diagnosed with breast cancer, Pam James was there from the very beginning counseling me with honesty, compassion, and comfort that I desperately needed. She then organized and designed the T-shirt campaign hospital-wide and sold over a hundred t-shirts. It was unbelievable. She also organized PTO donations from team members so I would not go without some kind of paycheck. And all the while being a wonderful contact and supporter to me throughout. Pam also came to my home with proceeds to deliver and spent the afternoon with me. I cannot describe the support and love from Pam and all of IU Health Arnett. If it had not been for her pulling all of this together, I would have been in such dire straits. The team was so gracious and participated fully, even the Banyan and EVS, all floors in the hospital in addition to AC5. Pam orchestrated the entire thing, her time, energy, talent; I have never in my life experienced such an outpouring as this. It has been a huge kindness that I still haven't grasped.
