I'm a physician assistant in the ER and with a House Call company. I have one homebound patient who has been extremely complicated…requiring home hemodialysis (not a candidate for PD because she has had her stomach rupture twice). For the past month, Pam has spent so much time on the phone with this patient, the patient's husband, son and caregiver trying to sort through this tangled mess. She found the patient a facility with dialysis in Randallstown, has dealt with the facility. Pam pushed them for over a week to get the social worker in to seeing the patient so we could get this patient's family trained for home hemodialysis and get the patient home and out of rehab.
Pam has been relentless in her care of this patient! She even pulled me aside at the Total Health Expo to discuss the case further. She should be commended for her diligence and hard work.
