Pam exemplifies what being a nurse and an educator is. She constantly goes above and beyond. During the flu season, early 2018, she was often helping staff answer call lights, the phone, and taking patients water and blankets. Today, she still helps out the floor, answers call lights, assists with admissions and discharges, and answers 1,000 questions every day. She truly is a team player and our floor is so grateful to have her! Thanks, Pam, for all you do!

Respond and assist in codes, assist with admissions and discharges, assist with difficult foleys and IVs/lab draws, gives PRN medication to patients when nurses are in other rooms, helps turn and reposition patients, keeps staff up to date on policy and procedures, etc. She is always willing to come out to the desk and help without having to be asked or complaining, always staying late to help out if needed.
One evening, we received a patient from the ER around 4:30 or 5:00 pm and Pam was about to leave for the day. The patient coded and she stayed and assisted with the code and assisted with filling out the paperwork, as the patient did not make it. She ended up leaving around 7:00 pm that night. Pam is always willing to help us out without hesitation. This not only benefits the staff but the patients as well. There are many more praises for Pam, but they all can be summed up to say that Pam is never afraid to help out and that the staff loves her!
