Our nurse leader understands the innate value of all people and excels at treating them all with respect and dignity.
Pam is so deserving to be recognized for her 42 years of service, commitment, and dedication to Children’s MN. Over the years she has been an essential leader in shaping Children’s MN. She is the backbone of the five departments that she currently manages. She is a wise, humble, positive, and caring guide. She also is not afraid to take charge of any situation, no matter how challenging it might be. This nurse leader has also selflessly stepped up when needed to help other departments that were undergoing leadership changes.

During her entire career, she has exhibited incomparable dedication and professionalism. We see her open her office and phone lines to anyone with a question, a greeting, or an issue to resolve. Providers from her departments contact her daily for program advice, conflict resolution, and assistance with direction for their plans.

This person truly leads by example, showing how to work at the highest potential to provide the best possible care to Children’s employees, patients, and families. As you can see, we think the world of our leader and feel she is so deserving of recognition.

If anyone needs to consult with her on any issue, without hesitation, she clears time in her schedule to do so. She is a good listener, is supportive, and welcomes new ideas. Our leader inspires others to dream higher professionally, to learn more, and is supportive to those pursuing their professional goals. She has worked closely over the last 2 years with one of her new Patient Care Leads, supportively mentoring her despite the many pressures on leadership during the pandemic.

Communication is another skill in which this leader shines! She communicates frequently in-person, through emails, daily huddles, and in regular staff meetings. She is clear and concise in what she relays. She also listens well and is always open to new suggestions and ideas. She ensures that her staff is updated on organizational information.
