Pam Strange, RN, BSN

Pam is a nurse here in the ED. Today, we had a critically injured patient who had to be transferred to a tertiary care facility. The patient was very concerned about her Shitzu dog, who was home alone and had no one to care for it. Pam was off shift but lived in the small town our patient was from. After talking with the patient by telephone, she went over to pick up the dog and care for it for an unknown length of time. This put my patient's mind at ease and let her focus on her own health. I feel Pam went above and beyond with her actions today, and I am very proud of her.
