Pam always commits to the highest standards of professional practice. She maintains professional relationships with others, but also develops trusting relationships with her patients. One example of the way she provides personal care to her patients happened last week.

The patient was an older man who kept to himself and didn't talk much. He mentioned that part of his daily routine included a food item that was not available in our cafeteria. The patient didn't have any family to bring this to him and there were no restrictions on his diet, so Pam made the effort to provide this small luxury for the patient.

This may seem like a small act to many but to the patient it was epic. He was elated and seemed much more comfortable, knowing that someone cared and had his best interests in mind. Pam in an exceptional nurse and deserves to be recognized for her dedication and hard work.
