Pamela is described as someone who models empathy. She is a true educator, and someone who makes patients and their families feel comfortable while including them in their plan of care. She often goes above and beyond.

After my mom spent 3 weeks in hospitals and rehab centers, she was feeling anxious, demoralized and dehumanized. She felt as though she was a burden and only a diagnosis rather than her usual upbeat self. Following a particularly rough night, Pamela walked in as our morning nurse and changed all of that. She talked to my mom as an equal and I feel she genuinely took an interest in her story. She really got to know her. My mom felt immense relief and comfort every time she saw Pam. Mom felt powerless but Pam gave her the confidence that she was receiving the best care. Pam made her feel worthy and our family is forever grateful!
***
Pam was my nurse multiple times during my stay. I shared my concerns and anxieties and she was always there to listen and respond to my needs. Pam treated me with kindness and humor, listened to my stories and helped me feel worthwhile. I never once felt like I was taking up too much of her time or burdening her. She was always upbeat and showed compassionate nature and gave me hope as I traveled the journey of recovery.
