We had a patient on 4E in heart failure. The patient is a younger woman in her 30s and has a 10-year-old daughter. Due to flu restrictions, the patient had not seen her daughter in over a month. Pam contacted the Comer Child Life department to arrange ways for the patient and her daughter to connect. Pam also contacted infection control and was able to arrange a visitation time for mom and daughter. This simple act made a huge difference in the patient's spirits. She was so happy that her daughter was able to visit. Pam always shows compassion and caring to all of her patients.
