Pamela Reuben Eubanks, (NP and Coordinator of Inpatient Palliative Care) is highly recognized and respected by her patients/families and colleagues for the sincere compassion and holistic care she demonstrates consistently in providing care for our Palliative Care patients, suffering from long term chronic debilitating illnesses and end of life issues and concerns. She goes above and beyond in assuring that patient’s wishes regarding their goals for care and treatment are incorporated in their plan of care through seamless coordination both on the inpatient side and post-acute, while ensuring truly personalized care. Several of her patients respond by saying "someone finally listened to me". Pam's high level of patient/family engagement and relentless advocacy for our patient's wishes has truly impacted the practice of our entire Palliative Care team.
- Letter of Appreciation from the son of one of our patients: "If an angel took human form, it’s her, no doubt about it. Although others helped us by having FaceTime sessions with my mostly unresponsive father, Pam was incredible with him. It was easy to tell she's the right person in the right job. No question she probably walks on water.... she does to us, that's certain. I made sure Dr J was aware that Pam needed an immediate raise. I suggested doubling her salary and there is a very good chance that I underestimated her real worth to your team. One wonders how the clothing she wears hides her angel wings."
