Pamela Rodriguez

In her clinical rotation, Pamela was assisting a patient and building a strong rapport. The patient needed surgery, but they did not speak English or understand the Interpreter (who was using a different dialect). Pamela immediately stepped in to translate for the patient. After advocating and educating the patient, they finally agreed to the procedure. Had they not agreed, they would have likely left against medical advice and become paralyzed.
