Pam was nominated by a Veteran who wanted to recognize her professionalism and calming spirit over the past 10 years. The Veteran expressed his struggles with short term memory loss, one day in particular, he presented to Primary Care requesting to speak with his provider about his care, however the provider was unavailable to speak with him. Pam took the time to sit down with the Veteran and listen to his concerns; the Veteran shared his appreciation for Pam's compassion, ability to listen, and help in resolving the issues he was having. Pam embodies the spirit of the DAISY Award and demonstrates what it means to provide true patient-centered care.
