Pamela Wages promotes teamwork and inspires other nurses to promote professional growth. Pamela worked as a Trauma ICU nurse for many years, has become ECMO certified, and has transitioned into the CVICU.

I would like to thank my nurse and share my story of why Pamela is so special. I don’t know if I would have made it as successfully as I have, had it not been for Pam. Pam was my nurse in the CVICU, what an excellent nurse. She was exemplary in her knowledge of the things I was experiencing after open-heart (aortic valve replacement). The way she would explain things made it easier for me to understand them and put all my fears aside. Pam also kept me clean. When I felt like I smelled or was dirty she ensured I was well cared for. She was also encouraging and uplifting in how she spoke with me. She made me feel like her friend and not just a patient. Once I was moved to the step-down unit, she came to check on me. I know Pam is an amazing nurse and exudes kindness and compassion. She has an ability to truly care about her patients and I felt the way she cared for me was as if she were caring for her family member. I thank you for such an amazing nurse and the care I have received while there.
