January 2022 Honoree
Pamela Waltemire, RN
Pam was working the night my husband was admitted. I want to recognize her for the level of care and attention to detail that she demonstrated. She made absolutely sure she understood what was going on with my husband, as well as his extensive health history and his medicine list. I told her that night how impressed I was with her. She humbly replied that she just wanted to make sure that her patients get the best care possible. Additionally, I really liked her personality. She was very upbeat and pleasant. I’d like to know where she gets that much energy at 1:00 a.m., ha ha! Pam was extremely patient with me as I explained the situation. She didn’t rush me and I could tell she was actively listening to and engaged in what I was saying. At one point, I realized I was repeating something I had already told her. She didn’t seem to mind a bit! Nurses like Pam are a great asset to your hospital. I don’t know how she can stay that pleasant in an environment full of pain and suffering.
Thank you, Pamela, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
