Oftentimes, during the run of a day, the nurse is often busy with medication pass and other tasks which require their total attention including computer entry. However, the family member stated Paola found the time to assist her. She stated that oftentimes because she is young and has required the assistance of a wheelchair many believe she is capable of helping herself. However, the family member stated Paola stopped what she was doing because she was obviously extremely busy. She assisted her with relieving herself, and gave her a Depends undergarment which in previous encounters she was told "you can't have that!" Paola saved me and did not make me feel ashamed and for that I am grateful. I nominate her for this award because it is and always has been the little things that have often made the difference in a hospital stay.
