Paola is an amazing nurse and manager. I nominated her to be recognized for her amazing leadership and all the hard work that she does to ensure a wonderful place to work, and a great place to receive care. There are so many memorable moments to recognize her for, but one I'd like to share is the courage during the first wave of COVID-19.
Paola was tasked to manage a clinic in addition to a new unit that was opened to expand the hospital capacity. She handled the pressure of juggling multiple roles in different units seamlessly. As an outpatient nurse, it was so nerve-wracking to come to work on an inpatient unit. Having a familiar face in Paola really made a big difference. She always recognizes her team for the little things they do, and I want to recognize her for all the great things she does as a nurse to encourage and motivate us all to provide the best care.
