"She made eye contact and showed that she was there for them. This was despite being surrounded by three other nurses, one or two nursing assistants, and sometimes a doctor as well. Her ability to give patient-centered care has amazed me. I felt that she was fully there for patients and families, while being able to support her staff. Every time I saw her in patient or employee interaction, she was polite, direct and effective.

The most amazing thing that Pardeep did was promote the cohesiveness of the group of employees working that day. I believe that we all saw the difficulty that each nurse was having, but instead of isolating ourselves and focusing on our own work, we decided to help each other. I myself was able to assist three other nurses because I felt a sense of camaraderie and almost a need to help them. One of the most important things for me in my job search was to find a place to work where we were almost like a family that supported one another. With Pardeep's leadership and guidance, she gave me this sense and made me even more proud to be a nurse on 3-West.
