Paris is exceptionally compassionate and dedicated to both patients and staff. She consistently goes above and beyond to ensure every patient receives the highest quality of care. As a charge nurse, Paris is always willing to help support everyone. No matter how busy the clinic is, she is appreciated. As a new nurse, I have many questions, and Paris always helps me without making me feel bad or like my questions bother her. She encourages all staff to have a voice and ensures we have a supportive environment. Her constant support and willingness to always go above and beyond set her apart.

Paris is the charge nurse in A5D (Sug/Onc/Pain mgmt. Clinic). One patient came to the clinic for evaluation for low back pain but became frustrated as the intervention needed for his case would need to be done on a different date. Paris, along with her staff, demonstrated a calm, respectful demeanor to reinforce the provider’s explanation of the plan of care. She acted as a liaison to ensure the patient’s needs were met without disrupting the clinic load and workflow. She maintained professionalism and compassion during the situation, which helped the patient with the care he needed.
***
Paris is a great addition to A5D and is always willing to listen to her team. She always addresses any issues quickly and with positivity.

From her Nurse Manager:
Paris brings a consistently positive attitude to work, and that positivity is contagious. She lifts those around her and helps create a welcoming environment where staff enjoy coming to work, and patients feel cared for.
When responding to patients’ concerns, Paris remains calm under pressure and communicates thoughtfully, helping to de-escalate difficult situations. She accepts challenges with patience and dedication, taking the time needed to understand and resolve each issue.
Paris is especially diligent in reviewing patients’ charts and following up with them to confirm whether they have completed diagnostic tests ordered by their providers, such as mammograms, ultrasounds, and MRIs.
During one of my manager rounds, a patient shared the following feedback about Paris:
When I first learned of my diagnosis, everything around me felt dark. I was a single mother with a 15-year-old son to care for and no family nearby, and life felt difficult to manage. I cried and prayed until God directed me to this clinic, where I met Paris.
At first, I was hesitant to come in for an examination because I feared that people would not care about me or my condition. Instead, from the moment I entered the clinic, I felt an atmosphere of love. I was welcomed by smiling, friendly, and compassionate staff members, and Paris was there to assist me in every way and attend to my needs.
Everything I needed - rides, wigs, and other support—was available at no cost. Paris always called to remind me of my appointments, and there was never a dull moment with these wonderful staff members. Paris’ kindness lifted my spirit, and hope and confidence began to rise within me.

Paris, you crushed it. You are a fabulous employee and a valuable asset to our department. We are lucky to have you, and I look forward to seeing you continue to grow, glow, and shine in your nursing career.
Congratulations! You are truly deserving of the DAISY Award and this recognition.

Thank you, Paris, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
