Parris has always been a compassionate, patient, and encouraging nurse. Her patients adore her, and the care she provides is top-notch. She truly cares for the patient as a whole. In our "new normal" during COVID times, we've had several patients staying in the ICU much longer than usual. One particular patient was struggling not only physically, but emotionally after being in the ICU for nearly a month.
Parris always spent extra time with this patient, advocating for her needs and encouraging her to keep fighting to get better. Parris printed out encouraging signs (You can do it!) and brightly colored them for the patient's room to remind her that we were all rooting for her, and not to give up.
In times when we are all exhausted, Parris continues to go the extra mile for our patients. We are so lucky to have her on our team, always doing the right thing for her patients, regardless if anyone is watching. Her integrity and compassion set her apart.
