I cannot say enough great things about Patricia “Pat” and the care she gave me during one of the hardest hospital stays I’ve ever experienced. I had Pat as my nurse multiple times during my stay, and every single time she was absolutely amazing. From the moment she took care of me, she made me feel heard, comfortable, and genuinely cared for.

She advocated for me every step of the way and never once made me feel like my questions or concerns were a burden. No matter how many questions I had about what was happening, medications, procedures, or just needing reassurance, Pat always took the time to explain everything clearly and patiently. She was quick to respond whenever I needed help, but what stood out most was her kindness, understanding, and compassion.

You can truly tell she has been doing this for a long time because she handled every situation with confidence, professionalism, and empathy. During moments when I didn’t have my family with me, Pat helped ease my anxiety and made me feel safe and supported. She brought comfort during a time that was physically and emotionally overwhelming for me.

One thing that especially meant so much to me was the day I was discharged. Pat was not even the nurse assigned to me that day, but she still stepped in and took the initiative to help make sure everything was handled so I could get home at a reasonable time for my home care visit. That level of dedication and selflessness says everything about the kind of nurse and person she is.

Nurses like Pat make all the difference in healthcare. Her patience, dedication, and ability to connect with patients on a personal level are something truly special and rare. I will never forget the care she gave me and how much easier she made such a difficult experience. I am beyond grateful for everything she did for me.
