What a wonderful nurse! Patria was so helpful, kind, and caring, answered all of the hundreds of questions that I and my daughter asked, many questions every time she came into the room. She looked at the computer if she didn't know the answer and took time with us. She helped me so much with my anxiety, worries, and concerns. She made me feel like we picked the right hospital. She was a kind, caring nurse when I was close to crying. She comforted me with her kindness and understanding. She just gave me an extra few minutes to talk to me when we needed to understand the sodium and diarrhea problem, even though she was really busy. She was always giving us support and encouragement.

Nursing is Patria's calling. She is a compassionate, empathetic, caring, and great nurse. Patria is an outstanding nurse. Patria even walked outside with me to show me how to drive to Brookshire's. So caring! Even one night with all my questions, she took the time to explain, looked up on the computer and printed out a 3-page paper on hyponatremia, and talked about it. Patria was going to be our nurse today, but they needed her somewhere else in the hospital. She just called to say she was sorry she couldn't be our nurse today and wanted to check on my husband, and if she gets a break, she will come by. Also, every night at the end of her shift, she would stop by to say goodnight. No one else ever did that on any shift. I can't say enough about her.
