I have had the pleasure of working with Patty while managing patients with chronic pulmonary diseases for the past two years. Patty demonstrates respect and compassion for all of her patients with exemplary patience and concern for their health and safety in the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Department. In addition, she supports them during all aspects of their health. Patty has provided one to one care with patients and their families during times of wellness and loss. She has gone above and beyond the expectations of the department to meet the needs of the patients including facilitating parking initiatives, resources for those in need; including community outreach for the members in the Pulmonary Rehabilitation gym. Patty is always available to assist others in community events and engages the patients to participate. In addition to her primary role in the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Department, she has been working diligently on our application for certification for the Newton Medical Center gym. I feel she is aligned with the Atlantic Health goals and plays a large part of our mission to achieve excellence. Pulmonary Rehabilitation is an opportunity for those suffering from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease to improve their quality of life, increase their ability to participate in their activities of daily living and provide an environment for socialization. Patty promotes an engaging environment for this population; she is an asset to this department and to her patients.
