While I may be new to Newton, in the short time I have noticed Tricia goes above and beyond in caring for her patients. Today Tricia was assigned a very anxious patient with multiple wounds and very low blood pressure. Tricia advocated for adequate pain control and ensured that the patient received pain medication prior to assisting the doctors with wound care. The patient was extremely anxious, and Tricia was extraordinarily kind, compassionate, and took the time to explain the procedures to the patient repeatedly. She then updated the patient's family and explained the plan of the day. She was very kind and compassionate and went above and beyond to alleviate her patient's and husband's fears. In my short time at Newton, I have noticed many such occasions where Tricia has exhibited such behavior
