Pat, in her unique way, develops a "scrapbook" for every baby that passes through our NICU. I have never seen the moms when they receive these pages, but one night I was caring for a mom that flew in to receive her "adopted baby." When this mom held her baby you can see she was enchanted. When I handed her the scrapbook page Pat had uniquely created for her, tears rolled down her cheeks. I knew than that Pat touched her and made the moment so real! The Social Service person and I were also emotionally drawn by this moment. Therewere pictures of her new baby and specific decorations just picked for her.
