Patricia Chapman, LVN

Patricia, "Pat," is a nurse who has truly gone above and beyond for her patient's safety and well-being. Pat has cared for her client, who is now 12 years old, since he was an infant. When his biological family moved out of the area several years ago, Pat maintained in close contact with his family to ensure he was cared for and adjusting to the change. After finding that his condition began to decline when solely cared for by his parents, losing mobility and milestones he had once gained, Pat brought him into her own home in agreement with his biological mother. He has since remained in Pat's care for the past six years, where he thrives. In that time span, Pat has been completely responsible for ensuring his complex medical needs are met, which includes multiple routine specialist appointments, coordination w/ suppliers, attending school w/ him, acquiring medical equipment, advocating for services medically and academically, and even modifying her own home to accommodate his needs. Pat not only cares for her client but her own children and grandchildren. Patricia is a selfless, kind person and a nurse who exemplifies the meaning of compassion.
