I was sitting with a patient who happened to be autistic, MR, and had an NG tube so he was NPO. The patient was having a hard time understanding he couldn't eat or drink. While Pat Coon was taking care of him he was getting a little upset about not having water so she started singing to him. It really helped. I have seen her do this with an elderly patient too. She always goes above and beyond for her patients and treats them with such kindness and respect.
