A colleague recognized Tricia for the compassionate care she provided an out-of-town patient. The patient was from the Redding area and was forced to evacuate because of a wildfire burning near her home. She came to Salinas to stay with family and get away from the dangerously smoky air quality. The timing wasn't ideal because the woman was scheduled to have a repeat C-section the next day. When the patient reached out for medical care, Tricia went out of her way to connect the displaced woman with a physician and arrange for an appointment. Tricia went above and beyond the required process to make sure the mother and unborn baby received the attention they needed. This is just one example of Tricia's dedication and experience as a labor and delivery nurse.
