I recently had bariatric surgery at your hospital. Subsequent to the surgery, I was transferred to 5 North for a two-day recovery before being released. I would like to commend the medical staff, the nursing staff in particular, for the care I received while I was your guest. The staff was caring, helpful and friendly. I would like to thank all of them. In particular, I would like to single out Patty Esposito, RN for the care she provided. As my day nurse, I had constant contact with her each and every day of my stay. She did everything you could wish for in a postsurgical situation. She was a perfect mixture of care, sympathy, encouragement, and toughness (to get me to achieve the Bariatric Program milestones for release). Her belief in me was greater than my own, and she pushed me to achieve more than I thought possible (more than once during my stay). I thank her and the random God of medical assignment that I had her at the time of my misery. I thank you for Patty.
