To only describe one situation where Patricia has gone above and beyond would be a travisty. Daily she exemplifies all that a DAISY Nurse is. From the moment she accepts a patient until that patient is discharged the only thing that patient could possibly suffer from is too much attention. Often when she has a young first time mom or even an experienced mom she has been known to put a stork costume on and go in and entertain the patient to relieve fears and anxiety. When given the role of preceptor to a new nurse she works equally hard to assure them they will succeed and be able to do anything she teaches. I was a new kid on this block a few years ago and she was the kind of nurse I aspired to be even though I had been a nurse for 20+ years
