My Grandmother has been fighting cancer for years. Her condition is severe and often times complicated. There are so many variables to consider while attempting to care for her. Many doctors are involved in this process. Unfortunately, this means there needs to be a lot of communication. Furthermore, some pertinent information does not always get relayed perfectly, accurately, or promptly to us.
With that being said, Patricia has been going the extra mile for us. Family can often be left in the dark (so to speak) for hours (days even) at a time. We've expressed this to Patricia, and she has been returning to our room with a bright smile, a great attitude, and she has been finding us answers that we need. She has really bridged the gap between patient/family and doctors. In this time of crisis where knowing nothing is almost worse than getting a prognosis, Patricia has really helped in putting us more at ease and helping as much as possible.
