...My mother was hospitalized at Manatee. She experienced an unexpected respiratory arrest in the middle of the night and was placed in ICU on life support. Patty compassionately and lovingly cared for my mother for 3 consecutive days. She cared for her as if she was her own mother.

She was always considerate of my mother and even though mother was unresponsive she explained what she was doing, talking in a calm and soothing way. The list is long. The complex and complicated procedures, mother's hygiene, skin and hair care all done with caring proficiency. The coordination of her care from physician down was handled carefully and quietly by this VERY special nurse.

Finally when I returned to Manatee with my sister, Patty took the time to listen to me, my grief and my uncertainty. She reassured me in a positive realistic way that I did the best I could do to follow my mother's end of life decisions. Patty's caring ways extended to the family also.

I truly will love her and the gift she gave us all at an incredibly difficult time. Thank you
