Tricia was recognized by a co-worker for noticing a recently discharged patient had concerning symptoms. She recommended the patient return to the Emergency Center, but he was reluctant. So, she contacted his surgeon to expedite lab work, which came back critical. Tricia contacted the patient and urged him to return for further evaluation. Later, she visited him in the EC; and he was soon admitted. Tricia's ability to recognize symptoms and advocate for her patient show her dedication to compassionate care.
