January 2020 Honoree
patricia parreno, RN, BSN
Pat has proven to be such a kind, caring, brilliant nurse. Since the first interaction she had with my grandpa, my family and I could tell she was the best nurse we could ask for. My grandpa has had frequent falls in the past 3 months and suffers from severe dementia. These changes have been very difficult for my family to handle.
This admission, we were sad to hear about my grandpa's C2 fracture. My grandpa does not like hospitals, doctors, or nurses. Pat was so patient and kind to him. She calmly explained everything to him, made him so comfortable by calling him "papa" (he does not speak English), and checking on him so frequently. We knew that he was in good hands. Pat answered the call lights promptly, explained everything to us calmly and was such a wonderful nurse overall.
I work as a registered nurse and Pat is someone I aspire to be with all my patients!
