Pat inspired trust in a very scary situation and advocated for our son when I felt lost and couldn’t advocate for him myself.
Pat went above and beyond while caring for our son. We were ready to be discharged and she advocated to keep M in the NICU and he ended up staying for 12 days. M needed more time to learn how to eat properly. Without Pat advocating to keep M in the hospital, as new parents we would have been discharged and unfortunately would have been turning back around.
Pat inspired trust in a very scary situation and advocated for our son when I felt lost and couldn’t advocate for him myself. Pat inspired me as I am also a nurse, I loved seeing how the physicians valued her input and experience in our son’s care. We are so lucky to have had Pat as M’s nurse that day and the days following our initial encounter. I am so very grateful for the care he received from Pat. She embodies all the great qualities of a nurse, compassionate, caring, and a true patient/family advocate.
